HAIX® Announces Opening of New State of the Art Production Plant

Lexington, KY, October 09, 2009 - HAIX®, a leading manufacturer of high quality fire fighting, rescue, and law enforcement footwear, announces the grand opening of its new state of the art production facility in Europe.

Located in a small town of 8700, the new facility was only 10 months in planning and construction, record time for a project of this size. Opening in August of 2009, the new plant measures over 5700 square meters (18,700 square feet), currently employs 415, and has the capacity to employ 550. Overseen by Franz Haimerl, HAIX® Technical Managing Director, the new plant will produce military, law enforcement, EMS, hunting and workwear boots and has the capacity to produce up to 3,000 pairs per day.

All aspects of production from technical design and product development to the finished boot will be housed in this new facility. HAIX® will be able to maintain the strict level of quality control needed to reflect the HAIX® standards: highest quality, innovative technical design, maximum protection, comfort, and dedication to excellence. HAIX® continues to look to the future and the further expansion of its presence in the global market.
