As a young man, I was enthusiastic and active with the volunteer fire brigade in my Bavarian hometown. One thing always disturbed me: the boots. The more I learned, I decided to take the problem into my own hands as a master shoemaker and manufactured some boots according to the needs and desires of my fire fighter comrades.
